Job Summary:
The Product Manager for InScript’s PBM is the owner of the PBM product strategy, roadmap, and execution. This role is responsible for defining, building, and continuously improving a best-in-class, transparent PBM offering that serves health systems and employer clients.
Partnering closely with engineering, design, clinical, operations, sales, and finance, the Product Manager will translate market needs and client feedback into scalable product solutions. This role balances strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring the PBM platform delivers measurable value, exceptional user experience, and sustainable cost management aligned with client missions.
Primary Responsibilities:
The role is responsible for:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Own the PBM product vision and multi-year roadmap aligned to InScript’s strategic goals
- Maintain deep market knowledge of PBM trends, regulatory changes, and competitive offerings
Discovery, Prioritization & Delivery
- Lead product discovery with clients and internal users to identify unmet needs
- Evaluate, prioritize, and sequence enhancement requests based on impact, scalability, and strategic value
- Provide clear product direction to engineering and design, including requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Data, Reporting & Analytics
- Subject matter expert for the development of internal and client-facing reporting and analytics capabilities
- Define and track key product metrics to measure adoption, performance, and value delivered
Client & Market Engagement
- Serve as product expert in sales cycles, client onboarding, and Quarterly Business Reviews
- Communicate product roadmap, enhancements, and timelines to clients and stakeholders
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with operations and clinical teams to ensure product supports efficient workflows and regulatory compliance
- Manage vendor relationships that impact product capabilities and roadmap execution
Commercial & Financial Partnership
- Collaborate with leadership and finance on product pricing, packaging, and financial modeling
Educational Requirement:
- BA or equivalent college required
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in product management or related roles
- 7+ years of experience with PBM platforms or employer benefits.
- Strong client-facing experience translating customer needs into scalable products.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with drug rebates
- Experience working with engineering teams in Agile development environments
